Multi-Media System Installation – MARTA/CBS Outdoor, Atlanta

A partnership relationship was formed between Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority and CBS Outdoor at some point before getting Don Hardin Group involved on a specific project.  In the fall of 2008, CBS Outdoor, a subsidiary of CBS Network, hired Don Hardin Group to manage the installation of Multi-media systems onto more than 90 MARTA trains, whereas each train consists of a pair of railcars.  Don Hardin Group’s team of coordinators and installers assured that these multimedia systems consisting of low-voltage wiring, monitor screens, system hubs, wireless communication units and various system components were installed to enable systems’ functionality of the utmost quality.

HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) ADA Program

Don Hardin Group was retained by HCA in 2005 to assist in the program management of their ADA Compliance Upgrades required for several of the more than 200 hospitals and outpatient centers owned by the healthcare conglomerate.  Upon understanding HCA’s needs, DHG offered staff augmentation as a key solution to managing a large projects load wit in reduced duration. This is another example of how DHG adapts to the client’s business and helps them achieve the outcomes beyond the client’s vision.    

Museum of African American Music, Art & Culture

Our client, African American History Foundation of Nashville envisioned telling stories of the long-standing and enriched heritage of the contributions African Americans have made in the Tennessee.  Since its inception as a project in the mid-2000’s, the storyline of MAAMAC has evolved to tell the impacts that African American music has had on all genres of music across the globe.  Don Hardin Group is currently leading the project with an all-star cast of architects, exhibit designers and construction team to fulfill the dream of the AAHFN to build a 67,000 Square foot facility in the heart of Nashville.  The Museum of African American Music, Art & Culture will be a partner to several institutions of music across the United States and abroad.

Music City Center, Nashville

Don Hardin Group teamed with East Tennessee Mechanical and Hermosa, Inc to for Harmony.  Bell/Clark, A Joint Venture in Association with Harmony were awarded the contract to build Nashville’s new convention center.  The new high-performance Music City Center, located adjacent to the Bridgestone Arena on the south side of Broadway, will more than double the downtown meeting and exhibit space available in the current convention center.
Plans call for the facility to be built out at approximately 1.2 million square feet and feature a 350,000-square-foot exhibit hall acoustically designed to double as a concert hall, more than 50 meeting rooms, two ballrooms and approximately 36 loading docks for the ultimate in flexibility and ease.
Mt. Zion Baptist Church Nashville    
The vision of Mt. Zion Baptist Church’s new millennium was realized when the doors of this 90,000 square-foot edifice.  Don Hardin Group managed this project built on a 21-acre within 119 acres totally owned by the church.  The site work included the blasting of several tons of limestone.  The building materials matched that of its naturally surroundings with stone, brick, EFIS and glass.
Many shy away from working with a “building committee”.  We embrace and manage the committee well.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church Antioch Expansion

We believe that once the recipe for success is established, it can be repeated as was done when MZBC called on us a second time to manage the project to convert a 40,000 square-foot grocery store into a modern and eclectic worship facility in Mt. Zion Antioch. The “Antioch” location is the third Nashville, Tennessee location for the congregation and sports multi-colored panels that paint the sky and these same panels transcend into the building.    

Nissan North America-Canton, Mississippi Assembly Plant

Nestled in Canton a community of Jackson, the new Nissan Assembly Plant (2003) is approximately One million square-feet under roof. Nissan contracted Nashville-based engineering firm Barge Waggoner Sumner & Cannon to design it Process Support System or “Tool Railing”.  Don Hardin Group was then retained by BWSC to oversee the on-site construction and installation of the structural component of Tool Rail for the entire plant.  The Tool Rail system ergonomically delivers task lighting, pneumatics, oil and air as well as load-assist equipment to the production line for its vehicles.   Upon completion we were asked to assist Nissan directly with other responsibilities.

Nissan North America/Tower Industries -Smyrna, Tennessee Frame-Assembly Plant

Nissan North America wanted keep production in stride with its growing demand for the Altima vehicle line.  Having frames built on sight versus shipping from its suppliers’ location seemed to be viable for Nissan.  In 2004 Don Hardin Group was retained by NNA to manage the construction of the new 250,000 square-foot Tower Industries facility for its cars and small truck frames.   

Quanta Manufacturing Nashville Facility Retrofit

Taiwan-based Quanta Manufacturing chose Middle Tennessee as its main facility in the United States. Quanta also chose Don Hardin Group as their Owner’s Representative and Project Manager to convert a leased warehouse into a production facility suitable for assembling servers and computers for their national and international OEM markets.  

Vanderbilt University Campus Planning & Construction, Nashville

The Peabody College located near the world renowned Music Row of Nashville was acquired by Vanderbilt University in the late 1970s.  The Campus Planning & Construction Department of the university retained Don Hardin Group to assist in construction coordination for the multi-million dollar Peabody Expansion known as the Freshman Commons.  The construction for the program was kicked off in 2005 and consists of 5 new dormitories, renovations to 5 other dorms, a Dining Center, chilled water plant and major underground utilities.    

Wood Children’s Dental Clinic, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Dr. Eric Wood continues a family tradition in dentistry as well as serving as a mentor to many dentists on the horizon.  Dr. Wood retained Don Hardin Group as Project Manager to oversee the design and construction of the new 6,000+ square-foot practice.
